एक कॉलोनी के 8 व्यक्ति E, F, G, H, I, J, K और L तीन अलग- अलग  कारों इनोवा, थार और पजेरो से नैनीताल जा रहे हैं। एक कार से अधिकतम 3 व्यक्ति जा रहे हैं। वे सभी 8 अलग-अलग पेशे से हैं। प्रोफेसर और मेजर थार से जाते हैं। F केवल वकील के साथ जाता है। प्रबंधक J, G के साथ जाता है। डॉक्टर, I के साथ जाता है लेकिन दुकानदार उसके साथ नहीं जाता है। K, दुकानदार के साथ जाता है लेकिन पजेरो में नहीं। निदेशक E, इंस्पेक्टर के साथ जाता है। F डॉक्टर नहीं है। डॉक्टर पजेरो में जाता है। H थार में नहीं जाता है और G प्रोफेसर नहीं है।

8 persons E, F, G, H, I, J, K and L of a colony are going to Nainital by three different Cars Innova, Thar and Pajero. Maximum 3 persons are going by one Car. They all are of 8 different professions.

Professor and Major go in Thar. F goes with only Lawyer. Manager J goes with G. Doctor goes with I but Shopkeeper is not with him. K goes with Shopkeeper but not in Pajero. Director E goes with Inspector. F is not Doctor. Doctor goes in Pajero. H does not go in Thar and G is not Professor.
